Elementary Faith Formation
For the 2020-2021 Formation Year we will be holding At-Home Faith Formation with online support for children in grades KN – 5 from our four parishes. We have opted out of in person classes this year. Our curriculum this year will be Pflaum’s Gospel Weeklies. The lessons will begin the week of September 28, 2020, using the Gospel Weeklies. Drive Thru Pick up Events will be scheduled for families to pick up materials that will be used in the home. The Gospel Weeklies flow from the Sunday Gospels, children grow in their faith including doctrine, sacraments, commandments and prayer – all with in the rhythms and seasons of the liturgical year.
Middle School
Faith Formation and Youth Ministry activities are open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade youth from our four parishes. Formerly known as Monday Night Faith Formation we have opted for an At Home Faith Formation for the 2020-21 year. Using the Gospel Weeklies young people can grow in their love for Jesus, His church and the Catholic faith. Drive Thru Pick up Events will be scheduled for families to pick up materials that will be used in the home.
Youth Ministry
The youth ministry program is for all youth in grades 9-12. All are welcome to join! There are four parts to Youth Ministry: Service, Worship, Catechetical, and Social. Service gives us the opportunity to do various Works of Mercy in our community and parishes. Praising God is the ultimate form of worship. As the youth ministry, we will actively participate in Masses, set up prayer services like Divine Mercy Sunday, Stations of the Cross, songs and musicals, retreats, etc. Catechetical is where we are able to grow in our knowledge of faith, scripture, tradition and doctrine. Lastly, we can’t forget the fun times we get to spend together just being the Catholic Youth from the churches of U’town. The Youth Ministry will be our own little spot in this crazy world where we WANT to learn, play, and grow spiritually in community with one another.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Are you or anyone you know interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a journey toward becoming a full, participating member of the Catholic Church. RCIA is a faith formation process designed primarily for adults who have not been baptized in any faith and are intentionally seeking God in their lives. Additionally, it is for those baptized in other faiths, as well as baptized Catholics who have never completed their sacraments of initiation, specifically confirmation and Eucharist.
